What?
If you think this is all these tech company have in store in for us but simple chatbots
No? But true "artificial intelligence" will most likely depend on mimicking natural mental processes, which we barely understand in any real capacity; "We understand human mental processes only slightly better than a fish understands swimming."

Heard that if you learn C many languages will become more understandable, my neighbor said that bootcamp grads will have it tuffer getting jobs and interviews

ChatGPT costs millions a day to be a glorified Google. AI is fugazi
You're right at the moment, I think it's massively over-hyped since it's merely a language model and not at all similar to real AI; who knows how this'll change in the future.

Bootcamp people are usually low-quality web-developers. Oddly enough, you can learn more than they ever will in any program by just sitting down and thinking of interesting things to write (and then going through with it, of course). I don't think learning C makes more languages understandable per se, it's more like; "most modern programming languages have similar syntax and concepts since they all more or less descend from C, so learning a language's syntax and concepts well will aid you in learning others" (I don't think this applies to Python too much, as its syntax is vastly different and its concepts are simplified)

I doubt AI makes the progress people think in near future. Most likely outcome is that as China ages, we simply don’t replace it as source of global growth (South East Asia too small, Latin America too old, Africa too dysfunctional) and the world ends up incurring massive opportunity costs as technological stagnation is brought on through dysgenic reproduction patterns.
