Idk, I think book smarts trumps street smarts. Yeah, some 17 year old fob Xalimo from Somalia could have been responsible for her household since she was 13 or something raising her younger siblings, but that same Xalimo probably knows nothing about the world and is really intellectually underdeveloped/lacking in wisdom.

Ideally it would be best to have both but if I were to choose between one, I would choose street smarts and that's because common sense AND social skills are harder skills to obtain than being book smart. Any mf with some common sense would know reading exposes the person to a different world to learn new ways of seeing things.

I agree with that book smarts should never be neglected. It was the very thing that helped me analyze the streets and manoeuvre accordingly.
