I guess you can’t really “measure” maturity. However, let us be real here for a second. Girls/boys back home are way more mature then those in the west, mainly because of the conditions they grew up in. Her age may be 17, but she might be a lot older mentally

True, true. I think what’s interesting is when we compare this marriage to our parents, it would look caathi. Since most of our parents have 5-15 year gaps but I don’t see people thinking it’s weird.

it’s not just a little mental maturity it’s 8 whole years of life experience. are you the same person you were 8yrs ago? probably not.
people shouldn’t be making huge life changing decisions like marriage at the age of 17.

Why are you falsely accusing someone online who’s anonymous? Doesn’t make sense. Who said she is underaged? In the west she might be considered underaged, but in Somalia, the east or islamically, she might be considered legal. You are projecting your westernized morals onto this situation. She agreed to the marriage and they both seem to be happy.
