You guys don't understand. This is a natural phenomenon. Every country in the world are having a decrease in fertility rate, because people have more education, access to contraceptives.

First world countries are actually making less babies than the minimum limit to have a population grow which is 2.1 per woman. They are making less babies than this minum, and therefore their population is decreasing. A country like japan has 1/4 of their population over 65 years old, and that number is going to rise 3.7 percent yearly and in 2050 40 percent of their populace will be over 65. Less people are making babies, which means less working young people to pay the taxes so that huge amount of elderly can be taken care of. Their public debt is 10 trillion usd, wich means 80k usd per capita in debt! And when the population is shrinking, the economy is eventually going to implode because japan doesn't have any natural resources, their economy is market based.

The economy won't have enough people that buy material to keep the whole system going and the japanese will have to few people that works compared to the elderly. Plus in the last 10 years the economy has stagnated and the situation has become worse. Logically speaking, this is easy to understand, and it is a dangerous and unique threat to the country. What you eventually stand left with is a smaller population were the majority is over 60, and not enough young people to sustain the economy. Lower population means more tax burden for fewer peoples and less public spending to make the economy going. Japan's public debt is double the gdp. And people don't see the point in making babies beause they don't hvae enough free time from their jobs, and their jobs don't pay them enough. More people are dying than being born, more adult diapers are being bought than baby diapers.This is a trend for every first world country.To fix this problem you need a steady flow of immgrants to stimulate the economy. Every first world country is havin this problem.

Africa has a populations stands at 1.2 billion people, that's less than both of chinas and indias populations. So this notion that africans are outbreeding the west is exaggerated uneducated garbage.

This trend is nothing new. When people are poor, they make a lot of babies, because their strategy is different. White people were once poor, and they also made shit tons of babies. But when they their countrie became richer, you see a trend where people started having less babies.

So you are getting it backward. Poor people are not poor because they make many babies, they are in fact making babies because they are poor. If you check the numbers, you can clearly see that every african country is making less babies, since their economy is growing. And you can also so see this trend that, the poorest have the highest fertility rates.

If you read on this then you learn that the best contraceptive is economic development. The world population will not exceed 9 billion and overpopulation is a myth that does not take this into account. Africans are making less babies than ever and they will continoue to do so, as long as long as they experience economic growth.
