African Isn't Broke But Broken Debate

I wish I was here to add the following advice.

1. Africans use colonialism to unite it's people locally on a 'shared enemy' theory which has given them huge losses becuz it doesn't address their internal issues

2. Africans view of the state is 'strong man, weak system' philosophy, it is partially inherited from colonials. They just copied the colonial system not created a system that has african characteristics like china with it's communism it has 'chinese characteristics' not 'european'

3. In African countries their is always an 'elite' class, tribe, or region, which the non-elite have an oppressed identity complex. Even if given power these non elites produce horrendous results. Look at South africa the majority black system is far worse then the white run system. This type of issue exists across the continent like tutsi/hutu dynamics but huto was brave and allowed their ruling class rule, while others haven't.

I've collected my qualities of good leadership

1. Have philosophy/idealogy before u ask for 'talo' or else are you seeking power for personal gain?. My inspiration Siyad and Abdillahi which means no corruption becuz meel bay ku 'gowracan' yihin.

2. Know when to hand power over and respect the ppl will like Aden Adde

3. Respect the president of the day who was elected, you weren't. All public employees remember your there for your skills 'merit' based not politics, it's not an election. Inspiration PL

4. How to resolve cross-clan issues in a home-grown manner. Erigavo is my inspiration such as Harti/Isaaq. This wasn't done in Galkacyo so no inspiration but 1 clan in galkacyo is seriously the
Issue they have green lines with everyone like duduble n murusade in el bur, even within themselves, marehan, even in the south they did.

5. How to resolve reconciliation issue at social/political level following Rwanda and mix of erigavo model.

6. Know when your out of your depth like sharif(sunday school teacher) and let the PM do the work.

7. Anti NGO/Charity/Aid who economy is centered around expanding poverty or they lose their industry. Inspiration Siyad

8. Economic influences are siyad and civilian era. I like free market and competition and people keeping the wealth but not the expense of the local or worker. Inspiration 1960-69 and 1969-1991 and a mixed approach

9. My social policy is definitely siyad barre to create a merit based system that is universal not limited to 'elite jifis' across every clans across somalia, this limits out potential due to our own limiting policy.

10. Ali Mahdi/Abdillahi Yusuf brutal honesty and warning ppl after him. That's what I would do also, don't die and let ppl repeat your mistakes.

The guy is right about a disconnect between our leaders(non digital age) vs the population(digital age), they know everything and have information at their finger tip, plus they know what's happening in the world. Our leaders employ out-dated tactics from non-digital era and why it's never working.

PPL coming out of civil war horta they are usually suspicious of opposition by default, so the opposition need to keep that in mind, becuz they didn't see any opposition that resulted in benefits gained against what they were opposing, this is the climate in any country recovering from civil war so they will alway lean towards a govt even if it's bad becuz of fear of the opposition giving them something worse.

@GemState u will love this guy watch him as he spits fact, he talked about the need to feed ourselves first, no food no life. He even said 'stomach infrastructure', maybe u can add once that is done we need to reach the 'ak line' on machinery skills. He even said we need mental infrastructure to 'think' for ourselves not just have colonial brains

@GemState the scariest thing is the brain drain that is goin to happen to africa, while it's left to their local conditions not ever being able to escape the 3rd world reality. The diaspora generation mellenial will die by 2080-2100 who had at least a 'parent link' and their kids will be entrenched in the west helping them.

What's even worse any genetically gifted people mentally are snatched up by the west to keep fuelling it's human infrastructure, while your left with the peasants.

Wow first african to admit they will take responsibility for their nakedness, it's true a productive colonialism is better then unproductive independence even tho @Hamzza doesn't agree. I heard enuff old timers say they were in paradise when colonials were in power using the minority rule-majority rights system like south africa to only enter an unspeakable hell post independenece.

Yes colonialism in general is bad but not all colonials were as bad as each other, some were less bad based on how their colonial territories fared compared to other colonial territories. Plus the value add to africa post colonial is extremely better then where africa was prior to it.

The only are I disagree strongly is pan africanism which is identity politics where pre-existing ethnicity is superior to it, yes we do share a 'pan struggle' due to the western creating a world based on color-phenotypes but that's where it ends. I don't even believe in pan islamism or pan somali, cuz pan islamism ethnic n tribal identities are stronger, and same with pan somalism, clan identity is stronger.

If I could get my ideal social system thru, it would be grounded in human rights not ethnic-tribal-religious-gender-political rights

@GemState raggasi dalka yaa keeno, we need to indigenous education i said this becuz ive seen the poor result from white run education in aborigines or african american areas, they need to learn knowledge thru their own cultural setting, advice them why knowledge is important and the evil of ignorance, use various models from the world where it can fit our indigenous model.

We must advice them don't learn thru speed learning to only become a monkey, but deep-learn and master it, then show them how to use imagination to be creative with wat they learned and value-add to it, then comes real world experience stage, which will develop them wisdom.

Right now we must use the best school results and use that as an indigenous template, ask elders how they learned under previous systems to take good points, we must consult religious ppl who do madrassas how they achieve good outcomes as they excel in quranic learning, then look at west/mid east-indian-chinese methods where there is benefit to be gained.

@GemState we even need to apply african characteristic to the workplace to gain maximum production value from workers, taking into consideration the climate, the culture, making workplaces compete, selecting the best workplace currently in the nation as a template, lookin at foreign models and selecting good parts that can fit into african characteristic workplace. We must even seek input from 1960-69 workplace model, 1969-1991 workplace model, we must take all this data points and craft a new model of all the good things from.

We can't just copy western or eastern models if the workers feel its foreign to them, their output will be low.
