The Afar actually did do an offensive but yes it was helped massively by ENDF drones, the offensive was cut short because it seems the TPLF just ran back to the border when it's main goal (dismantle border outposts of TPF) was obtained.

Hopefully IDP's can return to their homes, lots of people were displaced by the heavy fighting.

I was quite shocked by the Afar willingness to defend their lands (I honestly thought they would just run). But at the end of the day the TPLF won as the TPF has been broken. Funniest part is that the Afar did not even help the TPF lmfao, mfs just let their lines collapse

Here is the timeline of the battle: TPF attacks TPLF from the Afar region, TPLF invades Afar region to destroy TPF bases, TPF retreats, Afar forces rally and counter-attack, lull in fighting- Afar forces cannot break through main TPLF lines and the TPLF did not try to gain more ground, TPLF starts withdrawing, at the last second the ENDF does a drone strike.

End result: TPF whipped, Afar region re-gains control of the border with Tigray from TPF



At the end of the day, everybody but TPF won lol. ENDF can say it's drones are deadly, TPLF can say it successfully removed the TPF threat, Afar can say it defended it's borders and proved it's not something to be scoffed at.
