Eritreanpost is nationalist Eritrean website run by an Eritrean muslim and 1 Christian. One Jeberti and Tigrinya.
but our website is Eritrea first above any qabil or sect. I cannot reject what Ethiopia did to Somalia or Eritreans only when some Somalis want glorify what happened in the past or want to subjugate others because that’s exactly what Ethiopians still doing.
As an Eritrean website we oppose any force that occupied our Eritrean lands and attacked our ppl, that goes also for the Adal empire and Abessinia, because we never launched any attacks on the them at first
Assab is Eritrean, Afars are one of the 9 tribes in Eritrea. There is no need to subjugate them or claim Assab.

Never did I say all Somalis were responsible for what happened back then or what Op said. But if your hypothetical post means claiming Eritrean territories or subjugating Eritrean tribes, then it will not be notified very good by us.
actually It was me Eritreanpost who defended Somalis against all Eritreans, when the beef between Eritrean and Somalis took place on Reddit after one Somali guy posted the thread about Ahmed Gragn saying ‘Somalis made Eritreans eat raw meat’

This was already a war that was mostly christian vs muslim based. Adal was against the christian portugese and abyssinians and they were in war. Had the abyssinians gotten the upper hand, theyd damn well be doing the same probably worse since islam has better treatment for conquered areas. Such as jizya which is only a tax on nonmuslims who dont convert, no subjugation no persecution.

Sad to hear what happened to Eritrean Christians but it is what it is. Gurey's actions were in direct response to what Ethiopian Christians were doing against Muslims for centuries so unfortunately Eritrean Christians got caught up in the cross fire during his invasions. I know for a fact that no Eritrean Christian kingdom or soldiers attacked Somalis, during that era we kind of viewed all Habesha Christians as the same lol.
That is in the past however and the Adal attacks were an anomaly anyways. Eritrean Christians and Somalis have lived peacefully next to each other for centuries and still do.
In fact, IIRC the Eritrean Oriental Orthodox Church has now cut ties with the Ethiopian churches anyways lol

As us said Eritrean Christians never attacked Somalis or Muslims. Eritrean Muslim and Christians lived peacefully since forever.
But Medri bahri Eritrea became the ground for the proxy war between Adal and Abessinia.
And unfortunately many eritreans from the highlands were brutally killed. Although they peacefully coexisted with Muslim in Eritrea and surrounding countries. But Eriteeans are not mad. What happened 500 years ago shouldn't harm our close relations.
We just should reflect from the past.
The Ethiopian Christian elites were colonialist. They fought crusade a like wars subjugated ppl into Christianity annexed southern Ethiopia eastern Ethiopia committed crimes against Muslims and animist too.
But Eritreans weren't responsible for that, but due to location on the red sea coast they became victims of a proxy war between Adal and Abessinia
Some Somali brothers on Reddit even apologized for what happened back then and we made Kheir.
It just these topics are very controversial. And claiming Assab also provokes us too, because we fought for 30 your for our independance from Ethiopia. But it just important to understand each others point.
Even as an Eritrean, I respect the Adal empire and I see Ahmed Guray as a very intelligent strategist and face of a united somaliweyn.
I just hope in the future our ppl will never fight about territories or religion ever again. Africa has enough of that
