Af maay almost sounds foreign. Af maxaa-tiri sounds better imo and its the one most Somalis are familiar with

It is looked down upon in Somalia. There are barely even any books written in Af-Maay. It is more of a slang dialect than a real language at this point. Perhaps in the past it was a real seperate language, but no longer (they are using more and more Maxaa words and phrases).

Actually it's probably the purest form of somali which was spoken by the first clans who settled in modern day southern Somalia they have less arabic loanwords

Nope it is not i think there is bantu loans words and others if it was purest form of somali language somali ppl would have speak it and made offcial language of the country it doesnt even sound somali
Somali words tht are pure are in somali language tht are Arab italia English and other loans even dont sound same as af maay
