Adult Memorization?

Anybody have experience memorizing Qur'an later in life? I'm ready to start my hafiza journey but I've been using online resources mostly like youtube videos and stuff I learn in my university Arabic class for pronunciation. Any tips?

Yesss the option to hear individual words pronounced helps so much

Start listening to different types of Imams and replay it constantly. When I was younger I memorized Surah Al-Mulk by simply listening and reciting together with the Imam.

I restarted memorizing as an adult and what really helped was having a buddy. We'd meet in person or talk on the phone weekly and she would listen to me and I'd listen to her. Find someone who is as dedicated as you and who will hold you accountable. May Allah SWT make it easy on you and reward you for your efforts. Ameen.
