No they’re not I’ve had the unfortunate experience of listening to ados leaders speak live and they are very hateful and resentful to african immigrants. This doesn't concern us as Somali's or Horn Africans... we're not the ones enrolling en masse in HBCU's or black spaces.

It's mostly West African and Carribeans that are going to these HBCU's and taking advantage of African American scholarships and schools. I kind of understand where they're coming from, there should be a specific ethnic label that African Americans get where other Africans can't claim. What's even more funny is that Nigerians and other West Africans are taking over their spaces while being arrogant as hell to call ADOS culture-less.. or the slur "Akata."

Just like Native American has it's own category, ADOS should have it as well. They're not asking for too much... but if the U.S government recognizes them as a separate ethnicity... that means the reparations talk will get more serious and the U.S definitely is avoiding that.
