Millions of muslims are looking to escape during their vacation time.

Learning arabic can open somalia too these muslims who will feel at ease chillin on the coast and hearing the adhan, rather then be spat at in italy/france.

I see palm trees and sunny skies if done right.

Majority of the country cant even read or write in Somali but you wanna teach english lol the country should get a better grip on the native language before we start drilling English into them.

It's not a bad idea though English is only going to become more and more important and it'd be good for us to get a head start.

Ya donkey what's up with the self-hate? Arabic is our beautiful language and is highly beneficial to connect with other Arab states for cross-cultural exchanges, tourism, business/trade etc.

Not to mention, Somalia has been a part of the Arab World for centuries. Why drop all of that rich heritage that's rooted in the Arabic language to become another English-speaking colony? All of those things you mentioned can be done in Arabic.

Why would I wanna connect with Arab states who can't even help their Arab Palestinians who are getting genocided right now?

This is the reason why Indians get first dips on most student visa issued in the west. For example, in the last 5 or so years, 69% of all student visa issued by Canada has been given to Indians. The primary reason for this is they are an English speaking country which means once they come into the west, they can start working immediately. Compare that to non English speakers who require interpreters at every point.

The main reason why I would be in favor of adopting English is because all the developed nations like the U.S, Canada, Australia, U.K are all English speaking countries. We could straight up copy them because everything is written in English. Like all the math, all the science, all the blueprints of construction projects like railways, roads, apartments/houses. We could straight up copy the way they teach their students, they way they train their doctors, scientists etc..

why reinvent the wheel when this would be 100x faster?

Imagine if the north adopted English the way Djibouti for example adopted French they'd be lightyears ahead of konfuur. Probably would've been ruling the country from the start to this day. On the other hand adopting italian would be useless.
