This is very funny but sad at the same time, can't imagine being Ethiopian, living on 20$ a month and the president of my landlocked country starts building a million $ Navy HQ without a Navy

The govt in ethiopia has no regard for human life. Apparently 14,000 ethiopians died in the process of building the dam over the last decade and a half. Rember all the outrage and stuff about the 6,000 migrant workers that died in the world cup site building ? And that number turned out to not be entirely accurate.

It's the most likely outcome, that things will get worse because it's connected to their economic approaches, higher living costs, lack of employment, lack of basic services, lack of finance/credit, and dwindling wages. If they think things are bad , an even grimmer reality is in store thanks to Abyi Ahmeds ''Cult Economics".

Couple this with his war mongering expansions into Eritrea, which will definitely plunge Ethiopia into a an active war zone. It's suicidal because they have active isurgency in the Amhara/Oromia regions and are still recovering from the Tigray War

Not even. Siad Barre spent everything the government had to feed, shelter, and support Somalis. Meanwhile, Haile Selassie and Mengistu were hiding famine and allowing their people to starve in huge numbers.


What Abiy Ahmed is doing follows the same long pattern of Ethiopian leadership:

I’d say this is tied in large part to their feudal, insular political culture , one that ignores the real needs of ordinary citizens and turns a blind eye to the suffering of others.

There are other things i could mention, like how indifferent, cruel and enstranged Ethiopians are to eachother. This i have also noticed is rooted in historical culture.
A European Christian Patriarch with close ties to the Ethiopian Orthodox visited Ethiopia during the 1800s described how he and his group of men were left to fend for themselves enduring hunger and how ethiopians would let eachother starve to death and live in abject poverty, not even extend a helping hand to eachother or sharing food.

They legit paint the picture of callous psychopaths. Draws comparison to the kindness and empathy of Muslims/Arabs in comparison

When I come to power as Supreme Leader of the Somali people I will need you to spread this knowledge to Ethiopians so that they do not resist when the Somali Republic annexes their country on its long march toward Aswan to the north. We will liberate them and bring them into the fold of Somalism.

No more Amharic, Oromo, Sidamo or anything else. The state will adopt a rigorous Somalization policy. They will be allowed to remain Christian if they wish. Lakum dīnukum wa-liya dīn, as the Qur’an says. But we shall sabotage Pentays and Catholics. I'm sorry but I will not stand for non-Orthodoxy in the Horn. We are not colonized Niger-Congos.

Don’t worry, family. We will adopt a strict racialist system. Assimilates will be labeled as “New Blood” in their documents and original Somalis from Somaliweyn as “Old Blood”.
