I fully expect him to be among the candidates to be Somalia's president once the election takes place. 2024 should be Ciise Mohamud turn for the Puntland state presidency so Gaas' Cumar M before 2029 can have one of its sons serve as the whole country's president between 2022 and 2026/2027.

Personally I think Deni is a better option and has been a better PL ruler than his predecessor
