Puntland can't stay neutral. Qatar has zero interests in Puntland while our biggest market is Saudi Arabia where our livestock goes to and UAE is financing the PMPF and the Bosaso port. Turkey is not interested in Puntland as well, they have a centralised approach. Qatar is hosting terrorist leaders such as Atam and they use to finance the Islamic courts terrorists.
There is no backstabbing whatsoever. Farmaajo's campaign is financed by Qatar that's why he's neutral. Somalia's interests lies with KSA/UAE, but Turkey siding with Qatar is making things more difficult.
But I agree with you that Arabs are not our friends. They probably used the port deal, a deal that has already been reached, as a bargaining chip. They are very dishonorable people.

Turkey is running a few projects in Puntland and was the first to put in a tender for Bosaaso port, it was also the first to do so in Kismaayo with an excellent class A track record that is proven even within the country, it has no favouritism whatsoever other then a strong Somali state, it has presence in Benadir/Puntland/Somaliland/Jubaland with offices (it has no presence Hiirshabelle/Galmudug/South-West)
