Completing the constitution and 3 more years of HSM will make it irreversible imo. Especially if PL takes part in the next election even if they disagree with the rest of the NCC agreements. Once it applies for the South and starts being implemented there, PL will be sucked in.

I doubt any FGS President elected next time will be willing to give up the power the constitution they’re about to complete gives them. Every FGS President wants power, they end up buckling and supporting more centralisation over a ceremonial presidency

Nah there’s meant to be the usual ‘la xisaabtan’. But the government paid off Madoobe and the others to let the Ministers come even if they’re not called for.

The idea MPs had was to get unbiased reports from civil service, not the politicians who’ll ofc talk about all the good things they’ve done.

The NCC agreements have already been given a committee who’ll review them and bring it to parliament soon. This was not on the agenda today tho but it is of the parliamentary sitting for the next months

Funnily enough I remember HSM shut down Shabelle early during his first term and I think Sanbaloolshe was NISA chief at the time.

As long as they are not foreign funded censorship isn't good. But there has to be some quality control. They at least need to have a degree in Somali and journalism

If the half the cabinet is in disarray then the PM takes blame obviously but PM Hamze has been doing a great job and he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Sanbaloolshe has been left out in the cold, no one to ally himself with either like in the past incoming Hirshabelle President tho

I think his mucaarad is because it’s becoming obvious he’s not UPD candidate for Hirshabelle. HSM doesn’t trust him

But expect this more, I can see the support for this government slipping away low-key when they have to pick their candidates for FMS lol.
