Somalis have used such cruelty against one another during the civil war that makes the torture procedures in Guantanamo bay look like a child's play. For example, whole cities were bombed by air where children, women and the elderly were targeted indiscriminately and burnt to death, water-wells were poisoned for people and their livestock to die of thirsty and poisoning, people were thrown into burning oil, or thrown into the river only to be eaten by crocodiles or drowned because they couldn't swim, Their crime; they were born to the wrong clan in the wrong place. Don't you think selling them as slaves would have been a better humane way? Do you think people who caused them such cruelty would have any moral issue in selling them as slaves?

Secondly, the whole Africans sold their own argument is childish .Africans belonged to different warring ethnicities and nations. When you describe Africans as tribes and Europeans as nations/ethnicities, you’re basically succumbing to a Eurocentric understanding of history.
Europeans also sold and enslaved each other for thousands of years. Europeans killed each other by the million.White slaves were sold to other Europeans or Turks , thus their descendants are not that visible.
Blacks stand out because they were sold to a whole complete race.The biggest slave market in Europe in the 12th century was located in Dublin. The word slave comes from a European word; Caucasian comes from a term referring to female slaves from the Caucus region.

Adigoon caaytamin, me, you and many here whose clans were defeated by other clans would’ve been sold into slavery if it was legal today. Or, are you saying your family were economic migrants and not genuine refugees? I’ve listed the cruelties Somalis did to one another above and selling my or your family wouldn’t have been an issue with them.
