AUN.

Few things raise my eyebrow about the police report. Did she drown? Unless there was a surveillance camera at the water reservoir, how sure are they in their assessment that she threw herself in the reservoir on her own volition?

A while back a Somali teenager in my city allegedly threw himself from a 4-story high building and the police ruled it an accident. I don't buy it. I suspect he was nudged by his schoolmate who happens to be white.

It reminds me of a time a white guy and I went up a tall building in downtown to check the skyline and he kept insisting that I get closer to get a good view of the city below me while he stood behind me. He was a recent Iraqi vet. I doubted his sincerity and left the balcony.

Ok that is terrifying. When you decided to leave, what did he say?

He didn't say much. I am always weary of individuals I don't know well and keep them more than arm's length away. Besides, he would have had to get real close to me to push me off the ledge and I wasn't gonna let that happen. Weirdos. I don't trust any of them.

Some suicides are just so apparent, like if someone is found undisturbed with no struggle and with a cut on their wrist. They'll also study the info giving by family and friends. Few kill them selves without speaking abt their memtal troubles or hardships in which they would talk about their desire to end it all.

I find it hard to believe that she took her own life.

There's a guy on my fb who is close to the family and he wrote a little time ago that "the family requests that no further speculation be made ". This indicates to me that the family knows the cause and just would like people to move on. In other words they would've wanted the community to pick up on her cause and the person who killed her if that was the case.

I once again go back to the recent UN finding that "1 in 3 Somali " is mentally impaired.

I can never forget what my cousin told me home (while back home ) that it has gotten to the point that the friend you were holding a perfect conversation yesterday is not guarantee that tomorrow he would be sane. He went on to say that if he sees the guy from yesterday acting weird today he would literally pass hjm buy because he can tell that once again another friend has fallen to the mind troubles.
UN finding 1 in 3 Somali mentally impaired? Can u post the finding cause u lie alot creating fake news on this site just so u can generate clicks and replies, which makes me believe ur an attention seeking son of a s .

It was actually World Health Organization that made that claim in 2011 and people ran with it. What they said was "affected" and Somalis misinterpreted it. Affected doesn't necessarily mean directly.

However I think we'd be crazy ourselves to deny the high percentages of mentally ill in Somalia and even out in the Somali diaspora.
