Outdoor cats and street dogs are abused over there, especially the street dogs. They run away and hide from humans, usually under cars.

Its shocking as you would think people who call themselves muslim would have naxriis towards unfortunate animals however they don't practice what they preach.

Thats why Somalia needs a cultural and Islamic renaissance as people have very little understanding of the deep rich philsophy of islam and quran/hadith sciences.

Gaals who are meant to be inferior to us have better attitudes towards the disabled and animals.

This has nothing to do with religion, I'm afraid. In Turkey, they treat cats especially well. It's really the societal attitude of selfishness and thinking about yourself only.
