People understand that the West has achieved a great deal, however, what is also understood is that every single component of civilization has its origin outside of Europe; and that Europe benefited greatly from the diffusion of ideas, knowledge and innovations from the Middle-East and North Africa.

It's no coincidence that the earliest European civilizations were located adjacent to the Middle-East and North Africa.

None of this points to an inherent superiority.

The industrial revolution greatly accelerated the scope and rate of productivity and the West deserves credit for it, however, credit is not what some people want; deification is the ultimate goal.

You simply don't really know much about Europe's history and those same middle eastern civilizations failed at repelling greeks and ended up being dominated by them. Also look at how static civilizations were in the middle east compared to what Greece did or even Romans who dominated carthage and completely erased their city.

Geography is an inherent weakness when it comes to Africa, many parts of it get less rainfall than other areas on the globe. Which is a bit contradictory when you find out that arable land (land which sustains agricultural surplus) is quite abundant in Africa. For example, the Niger river and its tributary rivers in West Africa allowed complex societies like the Ghana empire (300s-1200s AD), Mali empire (1200s- 1600s AD), and Nok culture to flourish. The Ethiopian highlands is also another area that sustained a complex society.

It's just that social pressures (e.g the Black Death) which arguably ended feudalism in medieval Europe didn't occur which transformed Europe into what it is today. That's one factor among many that inhibited Sub-Saharan African societies to develop to their full potential.

Africa is a vast continent (2nd biggest by landmass), so you can't observe its history one-dimensionally. No one does that to Asia. The study on the history of Africa has been tainted by Western standards and viewpoints. On the other hand though, you can't blame the Whites for studying African civilisation through the lense of their own experiences within European civilisation and it's evolution. That's just human nature in the end.
