A Thread of Important Ayah’s /Surah’s and When To Recite Them

General Asad

And What Is Not There Is Always More Than There.
Starting off with the basics:

Ayatul Kursi- Absolute essential for protection; always read before bed after each compulsory prayer and before leaving the house.

Surah Baqarah- Although the entire surah would be beneficial, the last two Ayah’s before bed are just as good as they consist of praising Allah andSkinh for forgiveness before you sleep, so you always go to bed knowing you have repented each day.

Surah Kahf- Recite every Friday, not only is it sunnah but it removes your sins from one Friday till the next (constant cycle of forgiveness)
“Whoever reads Surah al Kahf upon the arrival of Jummah will have a light that will sparkle from him starting with one Friday then onto the next.” (al-Jaami).

Surah Nasr- also known as “the victorious surah”, recite this when facing enemies (for protection and justice)

Surah Naas- Protection from Jinns and Shaytaan

Surah Falaq- Protection from envy and evil eye

Surah- Duhaa- recite when feeling sad/ going through depression or distress.

Surah Mulk- Recite at night (after maghrib/ isha), it will intercede for you on the day of resurrection and save you from the punishment of the grave.

The Prophet SAW never slept without reciting Surah Mulk and Surah Sajdah.

The Hadith on Ayatul Kursi:
Abu Umamah reported: The Prophet SAW said,
“Whoever recites the verse of the Throne (ayat al-kursi) after every prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.”

Hadith on Surah Baqarah: The Prophet SAW said: “The one who recites these two verses during the night, they will be sufficient for him”.

Surah Sharh for the purposes you mentioned for reading Surah Duha.

Has the beautiful verse about with hardship comes relief.

Morning and evening adhkar - download muslimpro and its on their dua section.

Read it ideally after fajr and before maghrib, if not at the general morning time and at the evening/night.
