This is an interesting study, but utterly useless except to further the overt agenda to divide the sexes.

Essentially, it is asking "what percentage of people will commit an act that temporarily satisfies a biological want were the act itself not a crime?"

How many men will steal food to ward off hunger or save a dollar? How many men will steal your wheels to spare their legs? How many will occassionally rape women and spare their hand?

Many.

What if the question asked...what percentage of people will commit an act that satisfies a biological want that severely harms another person if it were not illegal or morally reprehensible?

Most.

This study reveals that legal consequences alone are not adequate to stop people from being bad people. We need an infusion of moral weight to get that percentage of potential rapists much lower.

How can we as a society be against women being abused and raped when it’s what they want? That’s why 50 shades of grey and other abusive erotica is common with women.

They may not want to be raped by an ugly stranger, but they want the right guy who is handsome to rape them.

There is a lot of truth in what you said. I believe it's a minority within women and men who get off forced rape and imposing thier will on another person using force.

These topics doesn't only affect people with weak stomach, it goes against the teachings of Islam. Only someone who wanted Muslims to have doubts about Islam would bring up these topics especially how the sahabas and the prophet himself participated in acquiring sex slaves. I just told my mother that innocent people can be enslaved and sexually abused according to Islam. She almost slapped me.

My reasoning appears to be beyond you.

What you don't get is that the greater danger to Islam is those that seek to embellish it by arguing that reform is necessary to dilute it because of facts such as those raised in this topic. When this happens, Islam will be on a slippery slope like the diluted liberal wings of Judaism and Christianity that permit homosexuality etc. Twist one truth that has a strong base in the Quran and Sunnah, and the floodgates open. Why do you think we have Fatwa Shopping etc.?

I am not the best practising Muslim; my sins are my own. I will make some personal choices in life that go against conventional orthodoxy, be it practice or thought. However, I don't do hypocrisy, I highlight Islam's historicity regarding certain matters and state facts as they are. Those that say this is Not Islam are the ones Muslims should be worried about. They do not realise that they are already starting to unconsciously reform the Deen.
