A Question for PuntiteQueen

would you, if/when your home region democratises and embraces universal suffrage, vote for as Puntland ruler the head of a political organisation that explicitly supported PL seceding from Somalia but that he was NOT Maxamuud Saleeebaan but another reer?

First of all, in case you are not aware

This whole "Maxamoud Saleebaan" divide and conquer doesn't work with us. Just FYI!

To answer your question:

I don't care, the President can be any gender, any subclan, Dir, Madhibaan, Tumaal or North Eastern Daarood.

As long as they are honest and competent.

I don't support anyone based on subclan, it's based on their honesty and integrity, I scrutinise them all.

Leaders are public servants, not prophets.

thanks for answering, but we have to be honest just like anywhere else in the somali east africa it is clan that is king.....it is above ideology, country and maybe even religion

puntland is nothing more than a tribal enterprise both by and for the MS. Look at why non-MS has never been Puntland's leader and why none of the 3 MS branches are allowed to have two or more consecutive terms at the helm

A President is just there to execute decisions which are supposed to be approved by the parliament aka "the people", so I don't care who the "President" is.

Yes, in Somalia, corruption is very likely so that's why ppl are more concerned with qabiil.

Maxamoud Saleebaan are the majority in Puntland but that doesn't explain why they have been Presidents since Puntland's inception.

For example, Warsangeli General Ilkajiir was poised to win but DHULBAHANTE gave their votes to Farole.

Other clans in Puntland are "kingmakers", nobody forces them to vote for a MS candidate.

Also, within MJ, MS are the eldest bloodline and the majority so the rest of us don't have issues with the most populous being our face.

Again, divide and conquer, doesn't work with MJs.

You could have killed this whole thread by telling him you’re not MS. :pachah1:

All these irrelevant langaabs are obsessed with MJs and the MS boogeyman.

I agree with everything you say, except MS are not the eldest bloodline. In Majeerteen history the original kings were Amaanle, (hence the name) and even going through the blood line they are not the eldest!
