Thats supposed to be something funded by the government, it would be a good part time job for people as well, garbage collection should be 100% government funded but since you have a gaajo ngo government running the place you cant expect much with them

All of these issues are common sense and any competent government would address them easily and quickly but these people do not care about the aesthetics of the city. Its the first place tourists go to when they visit Xamar and it looks folxumo and reminds people of our dark past. What message does that send to the world when you see destroyed landmarks and a dirty beach on youtube and tiktok videos.

Bro they're tight on budget you think they have the lacaag to demolish all this and build something new, maybe a PPP would work but they're too tight on budget now, still waiting to see what their 2026 budget will be (probably less than this year)

I can understand that for restoring the lighthouse and rebuilding those war torn buildings but im talking about the garbage on the beaches. That should be easy to do and would create jobs for the locals.

Remember this is also the biggest fish market in xamar if im not mistaken, if modernized it could be even bigger

I think the lighthouse is just left to stand there ruined because Hsm uses it as a prop to show how maskiin somalia is so they need to get more aid money to go in the pocket. Its a metaphor for the leadership of this country if there was good leadership that thing would be fixed by now
