Tourists in Mogadishu could move around only in armored cars accompanied by an armed escort and spend the night in hotels that looked more like an anti-tomb bunker than their accommodation. The cost of such an escapade exceeded $100 for every hour spent in Somalia. Due to the significant improvement of safety conditions, traveling is currently no longer so expensive. Armed security and a military vehicle to move around the city are not needed at this time. A regular Toyota Land Cruiser will suffice, given the terrible road conditions, or rather lack of them. Indeed, the tourists are still required to use the services of a local travel agency that organizes the entire stay, but the prices are affordable, unlike the rates for similar services in the neighboring countries of the region."

Crazy how the city's biggest landmark are a bunch of ruined building and a nasty beach, with an even nastier fish market

This place needs to be demolished and replaced by something better, instead of building new stuff in the outskirts xamrawis should turn their attention to this

No hate to the polish tourist or any tourist that vist Somalia. But I sometimes cringe when I see some white tourist or any Ajnabi tourist when they’re acting like they’re in a jungle. I hate when they wear those Indiana jones hat. Thinking we’re some safari wildlife.

I think the lighthouse is just left to stand there ruined because Hsm uses it as a prop to show how maskiin somalia is so they need to get more aid money to go in the pocket. Its a metaphor for the leadership of this country if there was good leadership that thing would be fixed by now
