Yeah but at that point you have loads of kids and wealth to pass down, the intimacy has served its purpose. People often think you’re gonna be getting it on all the time at that age. Not the truth as I’ve been told by seniors.

In Islam intimacy is not just procreation.

Intimacy does have another role besides procreation, its also a human need until people no longer have a libido.

Islam makes it clear, you can't refuse your spouse without a reason.

Furthermore its quite clear in Islam that its a way to enjoy your spouse, its not just for making kids.

A quran ayah about having intercourse with your wife is fine in any position (when penetrating the v*****)

Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers. (surah 2, ayah 223)

a hadith about 'azl, which means pulling out to avoid pregnancy

Jabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said, We used to do ‘azl at the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard about that, and he did not forbid us. (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 9/250; Muslim, 4/160).

A hadith about intercourse giving good deeds becasue you fulfilled your desire, the reward mentioned is not about procreation

It was reported from Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: In the sexual intercourse of any one of you there is reward (meaning, when he has intercourse with his wife). They said, O Messenger of Allah, when any one of us fulfils his desire, will he have a reward for that? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do you not see that if he were to do it in a haram manner, he would be punished for that? So if he does it in a halal manner, he will be rewarded. (Narrated by Muslim, 720).

There are many more proofs, like these:

Al-Bukhari (2097) and Muslim (715) narrated from Jabir ibn `Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him: “Have you got married?” He said: Yes. He said: “A virgin or a previously-married woman?” He said: A previously-married woman. He said: “Why not a young girl, whom you could play with and she could play with you?”…

Ahmad (16886) and Abu Dawud (2513) narrated that `Uqbah ibn `Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Anything a man does to entertain himself is pointless, except three things: shooting arrows, training his horse, and playing with his wife; these actions are valid and purposeful.”

Ultimately, these all provide proof that intimacy is an activity of entertainment as well, if its halal do it how you like.

Its similar to how eating is for living, but you can eat foods you like and avoid foods you dislike.
