So i took my friend, born in the usa but original from Togo to white posh friends. My white posh friends were delighted i brought company because usually i come by myself. (Yes, coming alone has great advantages)

Anyway-- my white privileged friend began to question and interview my friend excessively. They were like who is this charming black person? So i was really being a translator, interrupting when i foresee danger or something bad or comment going the wrong way. Naturally, i am human, so i needed to go pee. Oooops, the ladies room if you would excuse my cruse self! I went to the restroom, took my time to enjoy that lonely time when i return to the Livingroom with my Togo African American friend almost in tears and screaming with her veins showing in her strong manly neck.

"What happened- Caudubilaahi i asked? I was just gone for a 6 minutes"

"This white woman called me a creature" My Togo friend responded with tears almost at a distant.

The White older lady with grey hair, reading glasses, a professor looking looked honestly distressed like someone called her a racist or something.

"Madelyne what did u say to my friend"? I asked accusingly.

"aaah, am so so sorry, AAAHHHHH i just said something very innocent. I said- She was a lovely creature" Madelyne whispered as she breaks into adorable sniffs.

"Creature"??? Asked My Togo friend- Her name- Otangalugha Simones. Creature? That is too much. Wi Wi Wi Wi (the african ugly sobs)

I immediately took action. I grabbed my very distress friend, escorted her outside to the car and asked her to wait for me. I went back and apologized to my white friends and explained- a "Little" misunderstanding. I Said

"I do apologize. My African friend culture is vastly different from ALL of 'us". :)

"She thought - you called her a creature-- like a beast. Like in the action movie Godzilla or King Kong! Her vocabulary is limited, she was already afraid to come with me here, she has not been to a white persons home." :(

"I know. I know. I am soooo sorry. You know i did not mean it in a --you know---- long pause- added Madelyne.

"I know-- you used the word "Creature" as an endearing white people verbiage. You know like the Bible uses it liberally" I assured her.

"Exactly! Exactly! Oh dear Lady Basra- you get us"
