Google Earth is free.Jeberti deserts are devoid of humans :dead:
It is not good to always troll. Anyone who has followed the highway from Qardho to Bosaso on Google maps can see how densely populated Bari is. The number of settlements on that corridor is unmatched by anywhere outside Lower Shabelle.

Stop talking about Somalia like its Japan or some shit. Xamar had a population of 10k in 1930 during italian colonisation, in which the largest group were cad cads. Before that it probably was like 5k. Decentralised is a nice way of saying that 90 % of Somalis were nomads with no civilisation before colonisation. I love the way you think somalia becoming like UK/London is a bad thing, as if we could ever achieve 0.0001 % of its prosperity.

I think my cousin @Abaq is referring to how certain countries have one city centric view

UK has vast majority of jobs and opportunities in London. This is terrible if you want to find a high paying job in Manchester or Liverpool or York you must head to London as all the main jobs and firms are there

take America. LA. San Francisco. NYC Dallas. Chicago. Miami. etc compete with each other but sadly most European nations are one city centric in terms of economic opportunities and housing jobs etc

The country should have several cities competing with each other for opportunities rather than being stuck in one city like Paris. London. Lisbon. Copenhagen etc. Very one centric city nations.

We can do this with federalism as we decentralise taxes. When California hit too much sales and income tax on firms they fled to low tax Texas which has no sales tax

or when Chicago taxes inheritance 40% people fled to Florida with no inheritance tax or sales tax as Illinois become a socialist shythole obsessed with taxing people to death

This is why Swiss confederacy works so well. France had to lower taxes as firms moved to 7% max tax Geneva in Switzerland this you-have somewhere to run to which makes the high tax area lower taxes to attract them back

I once wrote a paper for uk government to devolve VAT to counties imagine Birmingham attracting. Jobs if it had 5% VAT whilst London had 20% firms would move there , couple years ago when I was an an advisor for a econ think tank.

England is obsessed with centralising every thing boris did not have the balls to give counties these taxing rights to attract firms and jobs. But tories really wanted the idea and talked about it. Sadly labour were not on board

but tax devolution is one of the ways they wish to lessen London centric opportunities and. Reinvigorate the dying north and wales and northern Ireland and north Scotland and West Country let each county decide on certain taxes to compete with London

Uk tories definitely interested in becoming more like Australian. American. Uae. Swiss type of devolved local taxation so regions can compete with other regions rather than have a huge imbalance Like London and Paris and Moscow one city centric system whilst the rest of the country suffered economically

Yes but these are all first world countries, for Somalia to become like Morocco in the next 50 years we would be lucky is what I’m saying.

Future governments should mitigate the flow of rural people to cities, especially Xamar. I want to see our population grow as much as possible and urbanisation slows population growth considerably. Also as others have said its better for our economy if Muqdisho would not be the center.

I foresee Xamar having 10 million people. It has now at the moment 3 million people with a high natural growth. This compiled with migration from rural areas I see the city reaching that figure.

Bosaso district is at 1.2 million, and the city Bosaso at 850,000. Towns in Bosaso district average from 15,000 to 50,000.

Anyone that thinks Xamar getting larger is a good idea is fucking brainless.

I am not even going to bother explaining how they're brainless but I'll give you a hint, look at every city above 5 million in population and then look at Xamar. Don't look at the skyscrapers or the fancy roads, just look at the basics.
