The dhaqan celis prisons especially in Xamar are crazy, heard mad stories about them. The places are like a jail where you have no rights. You get beaten everyday by macalins and guards then you beef other students ( more like prisoners ).
Dhaqan celis is no good. You just become worse, one guy I know who was deep down a good kid was sent away for 4 years. He only needed better parenting.

I don’t understand why they don’t just send their children to small villages with their relatives to live a simpler life. Why put them in these prisons?
The best place to take your kids in Somalia is a normal home like everyone else and walk the streets safely like everyone else. "Boarding schools" teach nothing but torture. Sending your children to Somalia to learn the dhaqan and deen is perfectly acceptable but sending them to random strangers is unacceptable. How can you trust your child with a gaajo stranger who sees your kid as dollar signs? If you’re going to send your child back home, send them to a trusted family member who will love the child as their own. I have younger teen siblings on my aabo’s side who were not so good when they first came but after awhile they started to love the country and were eventually sent back to the qurbo as changed people with aqli and deen. Alot of idiots in this comment section are calling Somalia “hellhole” and “shithole” but they are just gaalo idiots. I feel for this hooyo but hopefully this is a learning curve for other hooyo’s in the same situation to stop sending their kids to prison camps.

beautiful speech but it is not worth anything at all, I know parents who sent their children to live with members of their families but it did not change anything since they was beaten and suffered very bad treatment too, and YES Somali is a Shithole stop lying to yourself the reason why hundreds of somali teens living in the west who stop doing stupid things so as not to end up there, it's just revealing.

A lot of Somalis only know how to pump out a litter of kids, yet all of the kids are low quality qashin. They never disciplined the kid, or disciplined too hard to the point of resentment. So as a last minute resort they yeet the kid to Somalia because they failed as a parent.
Parents who did good, their children will go to Somalia for a summer and enjoy it as a vacation. They view it as a way to learn the language and religion.
If you cannot straighten your child out in the west, you can't just outsource it and trap them abroad hoping someone else will do your job for you. What's worse is how parents encourage each other into it.

Somalia has big issues guaranteed but a lot of people on here have self-hate and insult their own land and origins. They say they love Somalia and Somalis but then say that it is a "shithole". Using the same words that the gaalo who hate us use. I agree with you that Somalis in the West shouldn't send their children to strangers because it's too risky. Sometimes Somalis can be too trusting of one another. Send them to close family members who you know have good characters and heart.
