I find that people who can admit their faults and work to fix them (i.e you admitting that you have qabilist tendencies and working to reduce/eliminate them) are good people. People who delude themselves into thinking that they're heroes, on the other hand....not so much.

He was a good husband, would help her around the house, take care of the kids and the ex wife loved going to weddings, and social gatherings and would brag about how her husband is loving, understanding and helpful man. He used this against her when they were fighting for the custody of the kids. The judge asked the kids if their father was helpful, the kids said their dad would cook, clean and take care of them.
