This Hadrawi-esque piece of art expounds on key historical and ideological issues that form the basis and the essence of Somali politics .
As usual,I narrated the poem in reference to my Ii.door friend who's also a good poet and a mentor .The work can be divided into :
1.Introduction-Here I disscused the general trait of poor leadership that holds back the Somali and also the unruly nature of the community.
2.History begins here with the infamous Berlin conference in which the fate of the Somali lands were sealed without their consent. Then comes the struggle to unite the Somali lands and the total objection of world powers to that noble mission.
3.The next key point is a discourse on the birth of Somalia from the brotherly union of North and South. The birth of the Somali Republic and the blue flag .And how things fell apart under the poor leadership of the heavy-handed Ka'aan .Everything got ruine over a period of time but still ka'aan did great works i.e pioneering the Somali script and so on.tribalism fuelled by mass ignorance and Ka'aan brutality lead to the eventual downfall of Somali govt but there was no winner from the great upheaval since we dont have DUBAIS and NEWYORKS in Somalia .Simply put ,the verdict of the civil war was loss loss stalmate .
4.The kacaan ended and the people now want a better inclusive Somalia but still such dreams are out of our reach because people ain't yet mature for that .The same old school of warloads still dominate the political scene. The qabil-stricken secessionist folks of the north rub salt to the injury. They seemingly stand for a tribal hegemony to oppose anything good to happen in Somealia .
5.The possible Solution .A united Somalia is the only way out .Regional tribalism wasn't and will never be a lasting solution ! .I rounded up the piece of art with a tactical question where I asked a Jeegaan Friend (Hurre) to figure out the possible remedy for his qabilist jeegaan folks .
