A Graduation Note

I joined this site with the hope of learning more about our people and sharing what I’ve learned along the way. Through that process, I’ve tried to better understand how the world functions culturally, economically, educationally, and politically. What began as casual observation eventually led to active participation.

One of the most meaningful things I’ve taken from this space is the way we come to understand ourselves in relation to other societies. That comparison has offered invaluable insight.

In many ways, this space has served as a kind of ''brain dump'' a place where I could write down my thoughts, test ideas, and refine my understanding through discussion. I’m grateful for that.

With that said, I won’t be active here moving forward, and I won’t be replying to tags. Time is limited, and I’m choosing to cut down on multitasking. I’ve shared a portion of my upcoming plans privately with a few members, but regardless of what comes next, I’ll carry forward everything I’ve learned here.

Thank you to everyone , even those I’ve disagreed with. Every interaction has played a part.

You can think of this as a graduation note.

Best of luck. One of the most eloquent people I’ve ever seen online. I learned a lot from you over the years, both lurking and being a member. I wish you nothing but the best.

I wish you the best to you sxb. You have been one of, if not, the most informative user this site has seen when it came to history and politics. It was thanks to you that I and many others learned so much about Somalia and you managed to almost single handedly take down the doomsday narratives about Somalia's current status and future. I also miss Three Moons informative takes so I admit I am somewhat saddened that you will leave but I fully respect and I understand your choice.

I already bookmarked many of your best posts and if you are leaving for good Idiliina, perhaps you could unprivate your profile so others may see your posts, you know for posterity sake.

Have a good one

:salute:

In my gut I know you are something important and influential to this world outside of this website. The internet allows anyone to be whatever they want. I could be an out of shape 46 year old loser who’s mother still tells him when to shower.

Thank you for everything and I hope Allah SWT gets you closer to achieving your goals.

You were a girl this whole time lol.

Anyhow, wishing you the best i’a

Wait, there’s a new Avatar?? How am I just hearing about this now?

The last airbender was straight up goated. I wasn’t really feeling kora so I dropped it halfway through

Fingers crossed this new one brings back those OG vibes

Edit
