A slave is someone who has lost their freedom and been sold off.

This invites disrespect and humiliation on the slave but it isn’t a must. It’s not difficult to treat a slave with respect, But it’s not easy either. Which is why I have difficulty believing this.

I can say for sure slaves in somalia were treated 10x better than slaves in the US. But I wouldn’t say they were treated with complete respect.

More like the slave knew it’s place and as long as he/she didn’t get in the way and did their tasks then they weren’t disrespected.

Unlike the US where black slaves were ridiculed and whipped for every little thing. Most like this paragraph was exaggerated, but it had some truth to it I’d say
