I got a similar situation with a cousin. Her parents basically abandoned her (they’re both mentally unstable) and she was raised by cadaans. She reconnected with us recently and is slowly leaning about the dhaqan and deen. She’s even coming with us to Somalia this year even tho she’s still a Christian

One minute in Somalia for her and she'll definitely stay christian.

After she goes to Somalia it’s hard to convince her about the beauty of Islam. Our people back home are bad depiction of our deen. I’d say let him show her of the beauty of Islam here in the West.

If he tries this back home she’ll win the argument. She’ll point out to the corruption, the mismanagement and inhumane treatment of humans and animals back home

Maybe Pre-civil war Somalia.

Post civil-war Somalia is a horrific place to take any woman that's trying to get closer to Islam. I'd say most muslim countries (In Africa and the Middle East) should be out of the picture... and that's telling you the state of the Ummah right now. I'm assuming she's all for women's rights/feminism with her growing up in the west... She'll see the opposite in Somalia and that for sure will leave a bad taste in her mouth.

If she does go with your family, hopefully with your fams protection and sheltering she'll be fine. At least she'll get to see her fathers side of the family and get to know them.
