Mashallah. A death we should all strive for! It actually put a tear in my eye, since he was talking about death and the angel of death came.

He was A religious teacher who teaches Arabic Language, Fiqh and Usul Fiqh in an islamic high school there before he retired. He often gave tazkirah, lectures and even fardhu ain classes to his students after school hours and on weekends.

This Imaam passed away earlier today on the pulpit while delivering his Jumu'ah Lecture at Masjid Bukhari, Kedah, Malaysia. Ustadh Ku Yaqub Ku Hashim openly declared his shahadah and read verses asking people to be conscious of Allah and not to die except in the condition of submission unto Allah. As he continued his reminder, he dropped and passed away within seconds. This is life! Innaa lillahi wa innaa ilayhi raajioon. What a blessed death. First Friday of Shawwaal, at the time of Jumu'ah, in the Masjid, on the Mimbar, calling people to Allah, saying shahadah, reminding people of death, seeking the forgiveness of Allah. There must be something very special about this Ustadh. May Allah Almighty grant him Jannah and grant patience to his family. Aameen

A death while remembering Allah, a death we can only wish for... Inalilahi wa inalilahi rajioon. Brothers and sisters let's make dua for all of us to not even feel jahannam and grant us all jannahtul firdous. Ameen

According to an old fable, a man made an unusual agreement with Hazrat Izraeel (pbuh) - the angel of death. He told Izraeel (pbuh) that he would be willing to accompany him (as though he had a choice) only if Izraeel (pbuh) would send him a notice well in advance. The agreement was made. Weeks became months and the months into years.

One bitterly cold night, as the man sat alone thinking of his success in life, Izraeel (pbuh) tapped on his shoulder. “You are here too soon” the man cried out. “You sent no messenger. I thought we had an agreement!” Izraeel (pbuh) whispered “Notice your hair, once it was full and black, now it has streaks of silver in it! Observe your face in the mirror and see the wrinkles. Yes! I have sent many messages through the years! I have kept my part. I am sorry that you are not ready for me but the order of Almighty God cannot be averted!”



Hence, hair color turning gray from black or wrinkles on the face are also the signs of nearing death, and the Almighty God is the only one who can bring the dead back to life.

May Allah Bless us with reciting the Shahada in our last words. Amen.

You'll be resurrected while doing the last thing you were doing before you died. Some will be resurrected praying and reading the Quran, while others doing wicked stuff. We ask Allah a good ending.
