True. But it somehow looks foreign from Somali. But take that with a grain of salt, I have a hard time with written Somali.

Yes it does look foreign. The modern Somali language has about 20% loanwords eg. Arabic, Hindi, Italian. This is how the original Somali should sound like i was told by oday.
