4 days work and 3 days off

Anyone heard about this 4 days work days only yeah I think is great idea we have extra day to relax and do some creative things with the family or friends and before you say we gonna work extra hour it’s ok for me but do you know some countries want the employer to pay people like they worked 5 days because it will make their citizens happy.

so are you with it or against it?

Don’t have much opinion on the matter, more than we need a modernization regarding how we view labor.

Though, lately I seen more proposals of 6h workdays rather than 4 workdays/week. Obviously, the former constitutes less working hours. But I’d rather have 3 day weekend over having the same amount of workdays. As it wouldn’t even make a difference, since you aren’t even motivated to do anything after a day of work.

They did an experiment that showed that a 4 day work week didn’t affect the productivity of workers at all and in some cases even saw an increase in work being produced.
I’m all for it as it will cut out all the unnecessary time wasting and having to pretend to do work for the sake of looking busy.

It will also do wonders for peoples mental health as they’ll have more free time to spend with friends and family or incorporate new hobbies into their lives that they didnt have the time for previously.

Realistically though, i doubt they’ll implement this anytime soon.

I listened to this on MPR (Minnesota Public Radio), one company in England decided to keep it since it did so well in their company.
