Either way somalis are dumb. How many years and we can't realise that our enemies hate us and wish for us to remain easily controllable. Why not cut ties for now and demand that phone calls to enemy countries be banned for now and the coast be closely monitored. Al shabaab are not fighting for free! they are somehow being payed and amisom probably delivers their check to them. We need to wise up and cut them off from outside contact. Anyone that contacts them to pay or supply them needs to be arrested and killed.

Ethiopia want access to the ocean and don't want to give up oil rich somali ogaden land. They both benefit from a weak neighbour that is business savy and can out compete them in the market game. It doesn't take a genius to see. The UN know what's up but want somalia to remain weak because a rich muslim country on the red sea corridor is bad news for them.
