That would be 20-30% of their force dead which given they’ve lost most of Hirshabelle and Galmudug then not too surprising.
That's 7000 AS neutralized and their number is estimated to be 7-9k. If this was true there should be no AS left.
I don’t want to sound like pessimist but there’s no way this is possible. If 3000 were actually killed some qabil would of come out and say their qabil is being is targeted .

Shabaab numbers are under reported. I’d put them at 15,000+. They also conscript kids whenever they lose fighters so replenishing rate is pretty high.
Secondly as long as Shabaab fighter is alive they are not neutralised as these guys can always act as suicide bombers. This is not your regular army where if they lose a leg or arm they are taken out of the frontlines lol

Maybe he is exaggerating a little bit too much but al-shabab’s casualties are definitely in the thousands. They got karbaashed heavily and got dropped like flies across 4 regions.

10 Shabaab a day dying over the last 10 months after so many brutal offensives is not too surprising. The SNA has had strong air support from Turkey and the US.

They lost nearly 100 fighters in their Baxdo attack last year alone. One night in one town and it was all on video lol.
Al Shabab is for sure about 20,000 and more than the Somali army. We kill so much but they keep coming back in the same numbers.

as long as they control even just a few hundred thousand ppl they can conscript some kids all the time. The only solution has always been an all out war and to force them out of every town. Once they have no territory and there’s not anyone to conscript you can reduce their numbers
HSM is doing nice in central Somalia because he’s amazing at consolidating Hawiye regions that are uncontested but we must have a new approach for Juba and south west regions.
