Food shortages affect the globe including the West all due to weather change, also lots of the farmlands are controlled by AS and the fertile lands in the hands of the FGS isn't enough to feed 14 million add to that the lack of modern equipments and inadequate farming techniques. 7 million are urban so hopefully we can create jobs and incomes for them so they can import food. If the food production can supply half the country that would be enough but for sure as long as KG/JL are under Shabaab, which has the most potential for food production we’ll be reliant on aid

Somalia needs to import Oromos to make use of the little farm lands currently under the FGS control. Just a bit of LS and JL can feed at least 4-5 million.
