Abdi Dirie, 27, wanted in Sexual Assault and Extortion investigation,
Liberty Village area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault and Extortion investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, a 27-year-old man and a 77-year-old man were at an address in the Liberty Village area

- the 27-year-old man sexually assaulted the 77-year-old man

- he subsequently extorted money from the victim on more than one occasion

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, police completed a news release and identified the suspect as Abdi Dirie, 27, of Toronto. He is considered violent and dangerous.

He is wanted for the following charges in relation to this case and a previous incident:

1) Three counts of Extortion
2) Sexual Assault
3) Three counts of Fail to Comply Probation
4) Assault
5) Two counts of Fail to Comply Probation
