2000 to 2010 was more of a tech difference.

2010 to 2020 feels almost the same except gadgets got slightly better.

You know this was the decade smartphones took off. They were invented the last decade but it was in the 2010s that they became mainstream. That and social media is the dominating factor.

The number of people who don't watch cable dropped pretty significantly to the point children don't understand commercials within a tv program and think it means the show is over and a new one is starting like a YouTube video. Other than the 90s this might be the most species changing decade when it comes to technology.

You walk into any break room in any job,concert, resort, school and it's people glued to their phone.

Idk, in rich developed countries they were becoming quite common. The third world hopped onto the smartphone bandwagon in the 2010s, but the West had them in the late 00s.

Also, lots of people used torrents to view movies and TV shows. While you got Netflix now, the underlying idea existed back then.

Really the progress has slowed down compared to 2000-2010. I think humanity is actually declining in intelligence, lmao.
