The whole issue was caused by the stepfather, who molested this brothers sister. This happened 10 years ago.
The sister told her mother, the step father had been molesting her, mother didn’t believe her till she walked in oneday and he was on her daughter. The mother went to the Somali community to tell them what she witnessed. The next day her husband came into her house and killed her infront of her Son Hanad. He spent 5 years in jail, after that he moved to Somalia and while he was there he was exposed by people from his own tribe that he was a sexual abuser, who molestered his step daughter . He was humiliated and took his life .


Hanad lost his hoyo and was left with no family or community to support him after all these events, his siblings were taken by others as they were half siblings , he then developed trauma and mental health issues, he cried for help many times but the somali community ignored him and looked at him like he was crazy. Even though Hanad went through so much, he fought the odds, he was just about to graduate from his last semester of university this year.

He didn't witness the killing himself but did find his dead mother in the bedroom. He went through things that no kid or person should see in their lives, but who did he cry out to? Also, the stepfather did not take his own life; he died a normal death.

Those kids he killed lost their mother and basically their father that day as well. They ended up being adopted by their aunt after being in foster care for a while.
The family has seen this type of post online and has complained and ask for people to stop painting the killer as "an innocent mentally ill" man. At the end of the day, he did kill his 2 teenage brothers, and what happens to him after this only Allah knows.

Infact I wouldn’t be surprised if his mental illness started when he held these kids responsible in his head, but deep down he knew they were innocent.
