Officers were called to 8th and Olive on the sound of gunfire Friday night around 11:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found two teenagers shot and killed outside their apartment. Investigators believe a "domestic situation" led to the shooting. Police say the boys had just left a late-night Ramadan service.

My thing is i feel very sorry for the surviving mental older kid. He is a martyr for his brothers. Hopefully he joins his mother and brothers in Paradise on account of his madness. Inshalaah.

The sins of the fathers always ripples effect to the rest of the family.

Mental illness in this community must be discussed. We had a similar thing happen here in Minnesota where a Brother shot his own family over percs.

Allah yaa rahma to our brothers May Allah have mercy on them. They achieved soo much manshallah. May allah grant their family sabr and muslims who knew them.

The whole issue was caused by the stepfather, who molested this brothers sister. This happened 10 years ago.
The sister told her mother, the step father had been molesting her, mother didn’t believe her till she walked in oneday and he was on her daughter. The mother went to the Somali community to tell them what she witnessed. The next day her husband came into her house and killed her infront of her Son Hanad. He spent 5 years in jail, after that he moved to Somalia and while he was there he was exposed by people from his own tribe that he was a sexual abuser, who molestered his step daughter . He was humiliated and took his life .


Hanad lost his hoyo and was left with no family or community to support him after all these events, his siblings were taken by others as they were half siblings , he then developed trauma and mental health issues, he cried for help many times but the somali community ignored him and looked at him like he was crazy. Even though Hanad went through so much, he fought the odds, he was just about to graduate from his last semester of university this year.
