I found this on the forum it’s The only official census taken by the Somali government what stands out the most to you guys
Yeah somebody should post the full link I think they covered a wide variety of topicsThat’s interesting, I wish we could see the entire study. I wonder what other info they collected. They also seem to have left Sool and Awdal out for some reason

Yeah sool is growing rapidly MashallahYeah, Sool has the highest fertility rate in Somalia. It looks like there is a population boom right now.
Wdym?@mohamedismail what’s going on in bakool and lower shabelle is this due to the reoccurring droughts
I've personally been to Borama and the Awdal region within the last 7 years, the peace is SL has allowed the population to grow across the region, here are two independent reports, the official SL census is not accessible to me atm.I don't think these estimates are true if you use Just common sense. Awdal being larger in population than many regions with few considerable cities is unbelievable. Awdal has 2 large cities: Borama & Gabiley and various small towns.
I think Awdal is smaller in population than
-Bay- Has the big city of Baydhabo with various other sizeable towns
-Togdheer-Has two cities (Burco, Buhodle) and various sizeable towns which Awdal lacks
-Bari- Bosaso, Qardho and various towns
-Galgaduud- Has 4 major 'cities', Cadaado, Guriceel, Caabudwaaq, Dhusamareb and various towns such as balanbale, Ceelbuur, Galhareeri etc
-Mudug- the heart city of central somalia Gaalkacyo and has various towns like Galdogob, burtinle, Hobyo, Bacadweyn, Xarardhere etc.
the list goes onn.
Population in those two regions are not growing as fast as bayWdym?
peace isn't really a factor when the accumulated deaths in even slightly war-like regions such as Mudug or Galgaduud don't surpass homicide deaths of 50-100 per year, making peace an insignificant factor. whereas Banadir which is the most violent and unpeaceful region is still the largest. Garoowe/Nugaal would be comparable to Awdal in that case but it isn't. I know Awbarre is big but that still is a non-factor as it is still not part of Awdal and many border regions such as Sool, Togdheer, Mudug, Gedo etc also experience intense border crossing. Awdal has 1 big city (Borame) and 1 medium-sized city Gabiley and 3 sizeable towns (Baki, Lughaye and Seylac). Galgaduud has 4 medium sized cities(Cadaado, Guriceel, Cabudwaaq, Dhusamareb) and about 6-8 sizeable towns in comparison to lughaye or Seylac (Balanbale, Ceelbuur, Galhareeri, Gadoon, Xananbure, Baxdo, Ceeldheer etc) and is significantly smaller than Awdal per the sources.I've personally been to Borama and the Awdal region within the last 7 years, the peace is SL has allowed the population to grow across the region, here are two independent reports, the official SL census is not accessible to me atm.
Keep in mind the two regions in Ethiopia the Awbare district(largest Somali district by population) and Denbel district are primarily inhabited by Gadabursi, there is a direct road connecting Awbare to Awdals regional road so trade of goods have been incoming for the past 30 years, and the relative peace has allowed the population to grow.

I don't think those numbers are true due to this simple logic. Galgaduud might be under represented tbh. Mudug too.Yeah sool is growing rapidly Mashallah
I’m surprised at galgaduud I suspect migration to xamar is the reason for low growth

I made a thread about the future resource battles that will take place across the continent the future is uncertainMost accurate population census we have. The funny thing is look how small our population was yet we were still fighting over grazing land and resources back then mind you there were droughts but shows you how inhospitable the land can be.
what they are projecting for population 2050 hope technology and development keeps pace to sustain boom that’s coming in Africa otherwise it will look like mad max on continent
Yeah central Somalia has a lot of mid sized towns and big nomadic population in the countryside wouldn’t be surprised if there was an undercountpeace isn't really a factor when the accumulated deaths in even slightly war-like regions such as Mudug or Galgaduud don't surpass homicide deaths of 50-100 per year, making peace an insignificant factor. whereas Banadir which is the most violent and unpeaceful region is still the largest. Galgaduud has 4 medium sized cities(Cadaado, Guriceel, Cabudwaaq, Dhusamareb) and about 6-8 sizeable towns in comparison to lughaye or Seylac (Balanbale, Ceelbuur, Galhareeri, Gadoon, Xananbure, Baxdo, Ceeldheer etc) and is significantly smaller than Awdal per the sources.
