Never commit robbery in the US because most people there possess a firearm and won't hesitate to kill you.
Thieves need to be put in their place. People out here talking about a few dollars isn't worth a life, but think about it from the robber's point of view. If you're robbing people for a few dollars you're gambling your own life on the payout because you don't know if the victim is armed. The robber believed his life was worth the few dollars, or he believed he would be able to hit that lick with no resistance. Additionally, not checking the thief would notify other thieves that the victims are easy targets and they would face this issue again. This happened in Philadelphia so you can bet there would've been a round two if the other guy got away scot-free.
