only inventors in the list you could say as successful. celebrities and athletes are entertainers which is not something you use as bragging rights for an ethnicity. as for the civil rights movemen it was the era of decolonization and liberalization so america had to get with the times or be left behind with or without a civil rights movement.

Pretty much every single society today harbors some amount of disdain for Black people, except for Sub Saharan Africa, and even then, they look down on AAs/Caribbeans.

Much of the negative sterotypes associated with Black people in the modern era is derived from African Americans/Caribbeans, the idea that blacks are violent, lazy, promiscuous, don't know their dads etc... comes partially from African American culture being the face of black people/culture worldwide.
