Some people their whole lives acompasses of things they can get angry at and post on the internet how angry they are about it.
This term is usually not meant in a harmful manner and is just advise given to each other.
Obviously if your parent are the worst people imaginble its better to cut them off. However you have to recognise they are human too. Most chances they came from a harsh environment and they are products of it. You should try and help your parents to understand where you are coming from. They did not feed and provide for you for 18 years because they hate you.

i watched parts of it and i completely agree with her. parents, like all humans, also make mistakes. If you can't call them out on their BS in fear of "habar", then thats a dangerous place to be in. Imo, if your parents are good to you, treat them well. But if you think they are a negative influence on your life, cut them off or at least make it very clear that you aren't gonna let them push you around.

Sometimes people use it to manipulate others. I think they would rather get the children to obey instead of listening + finding solutions that are a good compromise for both parents and their offspring. From my experience, most don’t have the emotional intelligence to handle this delicately.

She’s obviously hurt from whatever happened to her but that’s no excuse to cut ties/ go no contact with your parents and family especially your mother. You can’t just dismiss the nine months your mother carried you and the pain of childbirth no matter how abusive a mother was.
