It's also a reflection of American celebrities, they all think they're better than everyone else and they loudly say so, and their fans love it. Its pathetic and is part of a wider symptom relating to decline of Hollywood, a bunch of privileged snobs, who have been surrounded by yes men, that they become seriously out of touch with reality. But again, who really cares. America seems fine with their slow decline anyway.
