He was a political activist and originally got interested in Islam via NOI for racial grievance reasons. Perhaps later on as he studied mainstream Islam did he realize the error of his ways, but we can never be sure if he adopted mainstream Islam later on to save face or if he was genuine.

Djiboutians are the only Somalis who seem to live in France and Wallonia. Very strange that no Darods/Hawiyes etc live there. The only Francophone Somalians I have seen lived in the French part of Switzerland.

Look at his videos from like 2016. He used to explain philosophical theories/concepts/historical figures etc. in a clear and concise way. Later on his channel started becoming more politicized. Initially it was more like an education channel.
