No thanks, they should just stick with federalism. I don’t support this confederation nonsense. Things need to be more organized like finishing the constitution, good courts, and better election system not a even more messy situation where states voluntarily pay the government taxes. What if Somalia can’t pay a debt if for example Jubbaland and Puntland don’t pay their fair share? The government will have a hard time imposing tariffs on foreign items and regulate interstate commerce which would not protect Somali goods and hurt Somali owned business.
